This short video/sound piece is a collaborative work with the wonderfully talented musician and artist Dmytro Morykit. The work hopes to explore in a visual and sonic sense the creation/exploration of the universe, inspired by planetary bodies, interstellar space, particles, atoms and orbits. The visuals in this piece were formed from an ongoing interest into creating complex structures in an analog sense, everything you see has very basic physical origins, such as inks and water, laser pens, faux crystals, coffee granules and lemonade.... By joining very simple materials a much more complex and dynamic composition can be created. The work hopes to highlight not only an abstract journey through space and time but also an audio visual experience where sound and music come together to create a heightened cinematic sense. Inspiration has also been taken from classic sci fi movies, especially black and white and also crude scientific info graphics from the 50's / 60's.. the end result hopefully is something unusual, a journey through an imagined universe, the beginning of time and space. the original musical score is titled 'Into Blue' composed and performed by Dmytro
